The next time you find yourself at a playground or a park, try these exercises...a great way to stay fit while enjoying the great outdoors!

Before you begin:

  • Be sure to check with your physician before beginning any exercise program.
  • Warm up with 5 - 10 minutes of light cardio (walking, jogging, marching in place, easy jump rope, etc.)
  • Perform each exercise for as long as you can - start with 15 - 30 seconds and work your way up to 1 minute.  Modify according to your fitness level.  Take a 30 second to 1 minute rest in between each exercise (more if you are new to exercise).
  • Work through the circuit as many times as you can up to 3 or 4 sets.
  • Sip water throughout workout.  If you get tired, walk in place - don't stop moving!
