Ahhh...the last weekend before we say goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall. Although, where I live, we are still fully in Summer at 100 degrees! The perfect kind of day for a thick, delicious Pina Colada...Shake, that is!
This Labor Day weekend, serve our HMR Pina Colada and treat yourself and your guests to a healthy, refreshing drink (without all of the extra calories...a typical Pina Colada has around 650 - yikes!).
You will need (makes 2 servings):
- 2 scoops HMR 120 Vanilla
- 1 cup pineapple (fresh, frozen or canned), chopped
- 4 - 5 drops coconut extract
- 4 - 5 drops rum extract
- 1/2 - 1 cup water
- ice, crushed or cubes
Directions:
Put water, HMR 120 Vanilla, pineapple, and 2 drops of coconut and rum extract into blender. Blend on medium speed as you gradually add ice. Continue to add extracts (one drop at a time) and ice until you reach desired flavor and consistency.
Top off your shake with a skewered pineapple and a cherry and enjoy a taste of the Tropics!
Bon Apetit!
