Happy Friday Fighters! And a spooky Friday it is! Before you put on your costume and head out with your favorite little ghouls and goblins for the evening, be sure to take a peek at the calorie count in the most popular Halloween tricks and treats. These bit size snacks might be teeny in size, but they can pack a pretty frightening punch... and the last thing you need is to be spooked when you step on the scale next week!

Snickers Snack Size - The second best selling Halloween candy next to candy corn, this little guy weighs in at 72 calories, 4 grams of fat. Not a big deal if you eat just one... But honestly, who does that? Non-consciously grabbing 3 of these a day from your bowl at work equals a over a half a pound of weight gain at the end of the week!

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups: In just one of these tiny cups sits 80 calories and 4.5 grams of fat. That's certainly a lot of calories for one bite. Not to mention, you will need to walk an EXTRA 4 miles to burn off only 4 of these. 

Candy Corn - Just 20 of these addictive little pieces pack in 140 calories...but who's counting, right? A handful here, a handful there, and they'll quickly add up to much more than 20! You can eat 3 full cups of grapes for fewer calories, 100% more nutrition, and fiber that sticks with you!

The point here, fighters? Halloween candy adds up quickly...and 99% of the time, no one eats just ONE piece. Be sure to practice safe environmental control strategies - remove the candy from your house or desk, try Alicia's yummy Halloween Pumpkin Pie Shake or prep a bowl of fruit for you to snack on throughout the night.
